This posting from Phil has design work done in collaboration, I managed the design work as well as created the upper pattern. The sole unit design was done externally.

950 Recruit Training

An early concept for the 950 to create a simple but functional Tech Running Shoe
for USA manufacture and Berry compliance

The Magenta lines here show the proposed Rubber to make a more trail worthy outsole
this was used on the MR_759 trail as well as the MR_950 Military training shoe
the midsole and all other parts were reused

The designs shown above were primarily for the fitness minded athlete
concepts were presented ~1996

These designs were targeted at a 'hipper' consumer
